I have previously spent much time in this beautiful area and hope to do so again in future. I think "environmental vandalism" is a good description.
Why is it that human arrogance, in the assumed name of progress and profit, thinks that the beauty of rural Britain can be destroyed. Those allowing this to go ahead should, in my view, be ashamed of themselves. We each have to live with our own conscience.
We should listen to it more carefully. Large companies usually seem to fail to take acvount of local views, whatever sort of "consultation" they whitewash it with, especially when those trying to railroad local communities rarely live anyhere near them! I sincerely hope that these pylons can be avoided.
